Celebrate the Jubilee Year at St. Pius X
This year, 2025, is the Jubilee Holy Year, the 2,025th anniversary of the Incarnation of our Lord, an "event of great spiritual, ecclesial, and social significance in the life of the Church." The concept of "Jubilee" has its origins in the Book of Leviticus (chapter 25) as a special year of reconciliation, pilgrimage, and coming home. Pope Francis has designated the 2025 Holy Year as a time to renew ourselves as "Pilgrims of Hope."
During this Holy Year, the faithful can visit designated holy places to receive special graces in celebration of the Jubilee. Within the Diocese of Green Bay, Bishop David Ricken as designated THREE pilgrimage sites for the Holy Year - the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion, St. Francis Xavier Cathedral (Green Bay), and lastly, right here at St. Pius X (Appleton).

Receive Special Graces of the Jubilee Year
A plenary indulgence might be obtained by devoutly visiting St. Pius X during the Jubilee Year.
An indulgence is a powerful gift to the souls of believers. Indulgences aid in healing the brokenness caused by our sins in this world and reduce or completely eliminate the temporal punishment due to our sins. Indulgences are either partial or plenary (complete), and may be obtained for oneself or for the souls of the deceased. One plenary indulgence may be received each day. To obtain this special Jubilee grace, those members of the faithful who are truly repentant of their sins and moved by a spirit of mercy are to:- Make a Holy Pilgrimage to St. Pius X
- Receive the Sacrament of Penance by going to Confession.
- Receive the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist.
- Be truly free from all willful attachment to sin
- Make a Profession of Faith. (Recite the Nicene or Apostles Creed)
- Pray for Pope Francis intentions for the Church and for the world. (Recite the Our Father)
The Sacrament of Penance and the Sacrament of the Eucharist may be received several days before or after performing the prescribed act.

Eucharistic AdorationDivine Mercy ChapelEucharistic Adoration is available 24/7 in the Divine Mercy Adoration Chapel at St. Pius X.Please visit the parish office to obtain the chapel entrance code.All pilgrims are also welcome to join the St. Pius X staff in daily adoration Monday through Friday from 11:30am to Noon in the main church.
