Catechesis of the Good Shepherd

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a Montessori-based Catholic faith formation program where children can grow in their relationship with God through a deep engagement in Scripture and Liturgy.
(See related Bulletin Article).

CGS is based on the belief that God and the child are already in relationship. Our work as adults is to provide a place for the child and God to come together and grow.

Families may choose to enroll their children in CGS as an alternative to the Wednesday night Faith Formation program. Registration for CGS is limited and may close early if sessions are full. Please contact Erin Buchholtz for information on registration.

Elementary Faith Formation, 1st through 5th grade

Elementary Faith Formation is for students in 1st-5th grade. Students will grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ through the study of the Church, the Sacraments and the Moral Life. Each session begins with a large group prayer that parents are welcomed and encouraged to attend. The study of our Holy Heroes is incorporated through a "Saint of the Week" on a five year cycle which gives students the opportunity to learn about a new saint each week through their five years in the program. There is also the opportunity for students to participate in our annual Nativity Play!

Classes are from 6:30pm-7:45pm and run September-May.
